Light Academia
Check out a teaser trailer for this pattern here!
This is a collaboration with Murky Depths! Check out their yarn here, including Light Academia Kits!
This pattern is a followup to Dark Academia. If Dark Academia is fall, Light Academia is spring - incorporating soft sunlight, fresh flowers, and winding ivy into the structure and architecture of the aesthetic.
Light Academia is worked seamlessly top down. As written, the archways in the yoke are expressed in cables and texture, gradually being overtaken by vining colorwork. I also have alternate charts that eliminate the vines, if that is your preference. I also have an all-colorwork alternative. Please check out the beautiful tester photos to see these alternates!

CC: 415 (470, 520, 595) (625, 685, 715) (785, 845, 905) yards / 380 (430, 475, 545) (570, 625, 655) (720, 775, 830) meters fingering weight yarn (shown in Murky Depths Dyeworks Deep Sock in colorway English Ivy, 80% superwash merino & 20% nylon, 400 yards / 366 meters per 3.5 ounce / 100 gram skein)
Note: If working the alternate option for an all-colorwork yoke, plan for an additional 90 to 150 yards / 85 to 140 meters of CC.
This pattern would work well with a springy yarn with clear stitch definition and a color combination with good contrast. Check out the teaser trailer for more suggestions on yarn and colorway choices.
