The Light As A Feather Hat design was born out of wanting a simple, slouchy, lightweight in my accessories, but not being able to find a pattern for exactly what I was looking for.
This hat is knit in one solid colour from the brim to the crown, and features a folded brim, waffle texture, and a light amount of slouchiness that is easily customizable to suit your taste.

SIZES
Baby (Child, Adult S/M, Adult L) to fit 17” (19”, 21”, 23”)/ 43 cm (48 cm, 53 cm, 58 cm) head circumference. The fit is very stretchy and forgiving; choose the measurement closest to the head circumference you’re knitting this hat for.

YARN
Approximately 180 (220, 250, 300) yards/165 (200, 229, 274) meters fingering/sock weight yarn,
recommended in a solid or tonal colour to show the texture.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
US #4/3.5 mm (or size required to obtain gauge) 16”/40 cm circular needle and DPNs or long circular needles for the “magic loop” method.

This pattern has been fully test knit by knitters with a wide variety of experience.
