The Light Gems wrap was inspired by light - like the light that reflects from a gemstone or sunlight shining on the dry grasses. It features cables and lace, which weaves and waves and lets light through.
Charts are given for the entire wrap and all charts are worked from the bottom up from right to left on right side rows and left to right on wrong side rows. The whole wrap if worked flat, and all edgings are finished with an icord for a simple and subtle look - giving attention to the cables and lace texture.

Sizes
- 1 size - Finished measurements approx. 63” / 160cm long and 17” /43cm wide.

Yarn

  • Unspun fingering weight held single throughout.
  • The sample uses Nutiden yarn, and some other similar unspun yarns include: Lopi Plötulopi, Wild Wool Canadian Wool Discs, and Wool Dreamers Manchelopis.
  • Honer Och Eir - Nutiden: 100% Wool, 100g. Sample uses colorway Glimt. approx. 300 grams total required.
  • Please note, every colorway of Nutiden is created differently and therefore contains different fiber types, so it is very difficult to predict exactly how much yarn you will need. I always suggest purchasing more than you think you will need all at once as Honer Och Eir only produces one batch of any given colorway.

Needles
- 3.75mm / US 5 circular needles (entire wrap is knit flat)

Gauge

  • 25 stitches and 33 rows in 4”/10cm in Chart pattern shown on page 3.
  • Adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions

  • Stitch markers

  • crochet hook (for provisional cast on)
