Lightmoore Shawl
Lightmoore is an elegant and functional shawl. It is both easy to knit and to wear. With ease of knitting in mind, I combined both garter stitches and dropped garter stitches to give a lace-like element in this shawl.
Pattern Construction:
Lightmoore shawl begins with a garter tab cast-on and then is worked back and forth. To add interest, I have switched between DK and Sock weight yarn. This shawl is bound off using both weights held double using Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off, resulting in an elastic, but firm edge. Lightmoore is a great transitional piece and can be worn in many seasons.
Difficulty Level: Adventurous Beginner
Skills Needed: garter stitch, basic increases: kyok & yo’s, working a large amount of sts on circular needles flat, garter drop stitches, working with yarns held double, Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.

Sample Shown in NanoStitch Lab, Kinetic DK, 211 meters/231 yards per 100g skein, 100% Superwash Merino, colorway Vera Rubin, (2 skeins)
