Lights On Mitts
The Lights On Mitts are the companion pattern to the Blackout Mitts. While I was designing the Blackout Mitts, I thought the Blacker would also look great in lace. A little thought and a little work resulted in this great, quick knit.
This pattern is meant for an adventurous novice to advanced knitter. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.
Yarn: 1 skein Blacker Swan, Falkland Islands Wool DK, 100% New Wool, 119 yards, 50 grams, Summer Sea
Needle: US 6 (2.25 mm) Clover Bamboo Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) or needles to obtain gauge
Gauge: 5 stitches per inch (spi) and 7 rows per inch (rpi) OR 20 stitches & 28 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette
Size: To fit a US women’s medium wrist, approx. 7.5” circumference
To alter the size: Adjust your gauge to increase or decrease the circumference of the mitt as needed.
NOTE: Knit the shorter length to ensure you do not run out of yarn. If you are brave, try the longer length.
