Lights Out Hat
In late October of 2020 (of course), Oklahoma was hit with a freak ice storm. With the leaves still on the trees, the branches couldn’t hold the weight and all over Oklahoma City, wood snapped and trees came down – taking electrical lines with them. Power was out everywhere, including my house. I designed and completed this hat while we waited for our power to be restored. The hat, knit in bulky yarn, with a dramatic, yet simple cable, knits up quickly. Need a fast gift? Want instant gratification? Lights Out is the perfect hat!
You will need a cable needle to work the cables - one of which is a bit fiddly, but otherwise, they are very straight forward.
