A surprisingly quick knit. Simple construction - no short rows.

Please note this is perhaps not heirloom knitting, because there is a small element of compromise involved in getting a crisp edge along the side of the mosaic colourwork. You can see a close-up of the edge in photos 3 and 4.

But if you are are looking for a quick and easy way to play with the colour in long-striping yarns, this could be the pattern for you.

Or use a highly variegated yarn for a stained glass effect.
