Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star… “Like a Diamond in the Sky” is a traditional top down lace full size shawl that is a full 82” across the top, and 36” at its center, deepest point after blocking. I chose to make it in Madelinetosh Pashmina wool/silk/cashmere sport weight blend yarn (360 yards each skein) in Stargazing, and it took 2 skeins to knit. The shawl body is comprised of an interlocking, cascading diamonds lace, and the shooting stars border is knit on sideways afterwards using the applied, or knitted on edging technique. I added beads all along the edge, but this is optional. The pattern includes full written instructions, row counts, suggested video tutorials, and charts.
