LIL’ KITTY
Materials Needed:
4mm hook, worsted weight yarn (you will need a main body color, a 2nd color if you want to have a contrasting color & a darker (or lighter) color for stitching on the mouth & claws), safety eyes, safety nose, scissors, needle, stitch marker & fiber fill
This kitty can be one color, two colors or as many colors as you want it to be.
Abbreviations used:
SC - single crochet MR - magic ring INC - increase
ST - stitch BLO - back loop only SLST - slip stitch
FO - fasten off
The entire pattern is worked in the round.
Numbers inside ( ) are the stitch count for each round.
If you want your kitty to have stripes, just add in your contrasting color at the beginning of whatever round you want the stripes to start, then switch back to your main color at the beginning of the round when your stripe is the width you want it to be, or start with the contrast & switch to the main color when you have enough of the contrast color. When I switch colors, I like to tie the ends into a knot to help secure them inside the piece I’m working on.
Kitty sits about 9 inches tall.
This pattern will use less than one full skein of Red Heart Super Saver yarn
