This pattern is suitable for a knitter with some experience. SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
• 2(2,3,4,4,5)x50gballs250(250,375,500,500,625)mor272(272, 408, 544, 544, 680) yds using Debbie Bliss Eco Baby Prints organic cotton multi or solid colour.
NB If you substitute another yarn, please check gauge (tension) and yardage and adjust accordingly.
• Circular 3.00mm x 60 cm (US 2 1⁄2).
• Marker.
• 2 sts holders or waste yarn.
• 1 Tapestry needle.
• 3(4) Buttons. ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS:
Age: 0/1, (1/3), (6/9), (12/18) months, 2 (3) yrs. Size: 48/52, (56/62), (68/74), (80/86), (92/98), (104).
GAUGE (Tension): 23sts and 28rows = 10 cm (4ins), garment being blocked and measured over stockinette st, using 3.00 mm (US 2.5) needle.
NB Needle size is only a guide- if you get too many stitches for 10cm, take a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches for 10cm, take a smaller needle size. It’s very important to check your gauge (tension) before starting as working to the wrong tension will mean your garment won’t be size shown.
