Material needed :

Size i-9 hook
One skein of I love this yarn -brand yarn
50-100 yards of tulle
Scissors
Darning needle - to thread loose ends

Size is for 1-4 years

Top part of dress
Round 1 - Ch. 54
Round 2 - 1 DC into the 4th chain from the hook and in the remainder of each st. Ch3 and turn (52)

Round 3 - 1dc into the same st. as the ch.3 ( ch3 counts as first DC)
1dc into the next st. 2dc into the next st. repeat * to  join your work using slip st. Into the top of the other side forming a joined circle ( do not twist your work) ch. 3 and turn

Round 4 - ch3 counts as first DC.* 3 DC in the space between the 2 DC from previous round , 1 DC into the top of the single DC from previous round* repeat * to * all the way around and join with a slip st at the top of ch3, ch3 and turn

Round 5 - ch3 counts as first DC.* 4dc into the top of the 3dc from previous round ( example- 4dc into the 2nd st of the 3dc ) 1 DC into the top of the single DC from previous* repeat to all the way around. Slip st into top of ch3, ch 3 and turn

Round 6 - ch 3 counts as first DC. 5dc into the middle space of the 4dc from previous round ( not into the top of the st.) 1 DC into the single DC from previous repeat to all the way around join with slip st and ch3 turn

Round 7 - we are going to look at our work in sets now as we make the arm holes. 1 set equal 1 DC and 5 DC. There are 26 sets total.
Ch.3 counts as first DC, 5 DC into the top middle st of the 5dc from previous round ( into the top of 3rd DC) 1 DC into the next single DC do 4 sets of to
Skip 5 sets to make the first arm hole. Work 8 more sets for the front of the dress. Skip 5 more sets for the other arm hole. Work the remaining sets (4)
Slip st, ch. 3 and turn.

Round 8-13 ch. 3 counts as first DC. 5dc into the top st. Of 5dc from previous, 1 DC into next single DC from previous round. repeat * to* all the way around
Slip st. To join work ch. 3 turn

Round 14-18 - DC into every stitch all the way around, slip st. to join work, ch. 3 turn.

Bottom part of dress ( tulle)
Depending on the length of the dress and how full you want it, will determine the amount of tulle you’ll need.
I used 50 yards of tulle on this particular dress.

Cut the strips of tulle to desired length - remember keep on mind you are going to be folding the tulle in half so cut it twice as long as you are needing in length.
Bring together end to end, loop the tulle through each DC space at the bottom of the dress and pull snug.
If you want a more full tutu, repeat the same process on the next row of DC above.

Add ribbon to desired length and tie a bow.
