This is a great scrap buster for those really little bits that you just cant throw away! The color combos are limited only by your stash! The pattern is written using worsted weight yarn which makes a 2” mouse (minus the tail) but I’ve made them with sport weight as well. They just come out a little smaller.

I’ve been making them for a while now and I can finish one in about 1 hour (with distractions!) You’ll be cranking them out in no time at all.

You will need a set of 4 double pointed needles, a yarn needle or two and one removable stitch marker. Also helpful is an unlimited stash of those little balls of yarn in a multitude of colors, some polyfil stuffing, a bit of black yarn for the eyes and a clipboard to hold him still while you braid his tail. I do a four stranded round braid but any braid will do! I’ve included a reference link to a YouTube tutorial on the round braid if you aren’t familiar with it.

You can also stuff in a little bell or some catnip for some extra fun!
