lil TWEED is a vest in the mind of the grandfather’s vest. Is knitted seamlessly, top-down. It knits from top to bottom seamlessly. The neck and button band is knitted at the same time as the body. The sleeves worked in round.

This is the vest to wear on jeans and a t-shirt for a casual look.

Finished bust circumference approximately : 32.5 (37.5 - 42 - 46)(52 - 56 - 61 - 66) inches or 83 (95 - 107 - 119)(131 - 143 - 155 - 167) cm.

GAUGE: 20 sts x 28 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in rib 5/1 with larger needles.
22 sts x 28 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in stockinette st with larger needles.

YARN: Approximately 770 (875 - 930 - 1070)(1165 - 1325 - 1455 - 1550) yards or 705 (800 - 850 - 975)(1065 - 1210 - 1330 - 1415) m of DK weight yarn (body).
And approximately 65 yards or 60 m of DK weight yarn (pockets).

MATERIALS: Needles sizes 3.5 mm/US 4 (rib) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 2 stitches markers, 2 Dpns 4mm/US 6 (pockets) and 4 (5 - 5 - 5)(5 - 6 - 6 - 6) buttons of 18 to 20 mm.

lil TWEED est un gilet dans l’esprit du gilet de grand père. Il se tricote de haut en bas sans couture. La bande d’encolure et de boutonnage est tricotée en même temps que le corps. Les mailles des manches sont relevées et travaillées en rond.
C’est le gilet à porter sur un jeans et un tee shirt pour un look casual.

ECHANTILLON : 20 m x 28 rgs pour 10 x 10 cm en côtes 5/1 avec les aiguilles 4.
22 m x 28 rgs en jersey endroit avec les aiguilles 4.

LAINE : Le gilet se tricote avec environ 705 (800 - 850 - 975)(1065 - 1210 - 1330 - 1415) m de fil de type DK pour le corps.
Environ 60 m de fil contrastant pour les poches (facultatif).
