The Lila Mitten is a simple knit mitten with a ribbed cuff created with garter stitch worked in the round on 10mm double pointed needles. The thumb shaping consists of a series of increase stitches (m1r and m1l) which are subsequently held whilst the hand is completed, and then knit to create the thumb. A small amount of sewing, then, is required to close the gap at the base of the thumb.

The garter stitch provides you with a gorgeously chunky and squishy finish to keep cold hands warm and cosy.

SIZE:
Mitten measures approximately 11in (28cm) long from bottom of cuff to top of mitten.
Ribbed cuff measures 2.75in (7cm)

GAUGE:
10 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ on 10mm (US 15) needles knit in the round in garter stitch
