At the end of May in Montreal, the sweet and pleasant scent of lilacs invades the city. Their beautiful flowers, among my favorites, color the landscape after months of greyness. Lilas (lilac in french) is a delicate asymmetrical triangular shawl with a combination of garter and lace. You will enjoy playing with two textures and weights of yarns. A fun and airy shawl!

Finished measurements
It is an asymmetrical triangular shawl (on the bias), 95 inches (240cm) long and 18 inches (45 cm) wide approximately, after blocking.

Materials
Yarn: 1 skein of Sock by Long Dog Yarn (80% superwash merino, 20% nylon; 400 yards (366 m)/100 g) and 1 skein of Silk Cloud by Shibui Knits (60% kid mohair, 40% silk; 330 yards (300 m/25 g). The sample was made using colorways How Dare You Come to Me Now? (color 1, purple) and Ivory (color 2, white). The shawl is slightly adjustable, you can use a skein of any fingering or light fingering weight yarn of 400 to 460 yards (366 to 420 m) for color 1, and you will need 205 yards (188 m) of a lace weight yarn (mohair/silk blend) for color 2.
Needles: US 6 (4 mm).
Tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.

À la fin mai à Montréal, le doux et apaisant parfum des lilas envahit la ville. Leurs magnifiques fleurs, parmi mes préférées, colorent le paysage après des mois de grisaille. Matériel
Laine: 1 écheveau de Sock par Long Dog Yarn (80% mérinos, 20% nylon; 366 m (400 verges)/100 g) et 1 écheveau de Silk Cloud par Shibui Knits (60% kid mohair, 40% soie; 300 m (330 verges)/25 g). L’échantillon a été tricoté avec la couleur How Dare You Come to Me Now? (couleur 1, mauve) et Ivory (couleur 2, blanc). Le châle est légèrement ajustable, vous pouvez utiliser un écheveau de laine « fingering » ou « light fingering » (super fin) de 366 à 420 m (400 à 460 verges), comme vous le désirez pour la couleur 1, et vous aurez besoin de 188 m (205 verges) de laine dentelle (mélange mohair et soie) pour la couleur 2.
Aiguilles: 4 mm (US 6).
Aiguille à tapisserie, épingles ou câbles pour bloquer.

Échantillon
16 mailles et 38 rangs pour 10 cm (4 pouces) avec des aiguilles de 4 mm (US 6) en point mousse avec la couleur 1, après blocage.
