Liliaceous
A lacy, ruffly scarf with a stitched band at its core (no crocheting into chain stitches!). You can make it with a single side ruffle, or with ruffles down both sides of the band. Easy to stitch - ruffles are made almost entirely with chain stitch loops and single crochets.
Samples were made with Medium weight (#4) yarn:
Grape Liliaceous, the single version, took 2 skeins of Bamboo Ewe. Spruce Liliaceous, the double version, required 3 skeins of Naturally Caron Country (some yarn left over).
Addendum: The Bamboo Ewe yarn flattens and stretches out like crazy when blocked, giving an entirely different look to the scarf. I probably wouldn’t use it again for this pattern.
Choose a yarn with good draping potential, and block lightly but carefully.
Thanks for viewing, and happy crocheting! The free pattern may be found on my blog.
