Dieser wärmende Poncho fällt eher schmal aus und wirkt noch schmaler durch den breiten Zopf, der sich über die ganze vordere Mitte zieht, dennoch bietet er genug Bewegungsfreiheit für die Arme. Er hat einen kleinen Stehkragen, der Nacken ist höher als der Ausschnitt vorne, für guten Sitz sorgen auch die schmalen Schulterstreifen. Die untere Blende korrespondiert mit dem Kragen und sorgt für Stand und Schwung.

Er wird von oben nach unten in Runden gestrickt. Es sind fast nur rechte Maschen und in jeder zweiten Reihe passiert sonst so gut wie nichts. Die Spitze des Zopfmusters ist ausgearbeitet. Der Stehkragen wird nachträglich angestrickt, man kann später noch entscheiden, wie weit und lang man ihn haben möchte.

Die Anleitung enthält Angaben zum abgebildeten Poncho und ggf. Alternativen. Sie ist leicht an Deine Größe und an jedes Garn mittlerer Lauflänge anzupassen, eine Maschenprobe ist nicht nötig.

This cozy poncho looks rather narrow and is further optically slimming thanks to the wide cable detail extending over the whole of the front. Despite its look, it is roomy enough to allow for unrestricted arm movement. The poncho is fitted around the shoulders, and its small mockneck collar can accommodate a neckerchief or scarf. The hem finishing matches the collar, reinforces the bottom edge and gives the poncho swing.

The poncho is worked from the top down in rounds, almost entirely knit stitches, with every other row a “mindless” one where nothing special happens. The nape is designed higher than the front neckline, allowing for better fit. Instructions for the additional point at the bottom of the front cable are written out. Width and depth of the afterthought collar can be adjusted as needed.

This pattern contains instructions for the sample poncho as pictured and recommendations for adjustments and modifications. This pattern is easily adjustable to your own size and can be easily adapted for other yarns in medium yarn weights. A gauge swatch is not necessary.
