Pattern workflow:
Lillen hat is worked from the brim up, in the round. Casting on with tubular cast on or long tail cast on, the brim is worked in a 1X1 rib until long enough to be folded over. After this the rest of the hat is knitted after a chart. At the end stitches are sewn together.

Sizes:

One size.

Head circumference:

51-58 cm/ 20-22,75 inches.
Finished hat circumference:
38 cm/ 15 inches. Non stretched, measured around the brim and to be worn with negative ease.

Gauge:

Stockinette in the round = with smaller needles - 25 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm {4 x 4 inches} in pattern worked in the round.
The given gauge is after washing and light blocking.

Suggested needle:

  • Main needles:

4,5 mm {US 7} circular needles (40 cm {16 inches}. And double pointed needles or circular 100 cm/ 40 inches (magic loop) for small circumference.

  • Smaller needle:

4,0 mm {US 6}. (40 cm {16 inches}.

Yarn:

Drops - Lima - 100% Alpaca. (50g = 100 m/109 yds)
2 - 50 g balls.
NOTE: The drape of the fabric will change and have a different look if choosing another yarn, swatching is the key to get the fabric you prefer.

Notions:

4 stitch markers, a row/round counter, scissors, waste yarn for the tubular cast on, measuring tape and a darning needle.
