Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge (see Notes).
Notions
Removable stitch markers (optional); yarn needle.
Gauge
36 stitches and 60 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in slipstitch colorwork.
Notes
- It may be helpful to switch to a larger sized needle—e.g., U.S. 1 (2.25 mm)—to work the top of foot once slipstitch colorwork begins, to maintain gauge and assist in keeping slipped floats loose in the finished project. Working with DPNs or two circulars makes this easy.
