Lilly Pond Eight Point Round Ripple Afghan
I made this afghan because I wanted a large afghan which could be laid on the floor for an infant to play on, and then use as a nap blanket as he or she grows into a toddler. The funny thing is my teenage sister-in-law loved it so much I let her have it. It is big enough to be a lapghan as well as an infant/toddler afghan. Be creative in color choices as the potential looks for this afghan are as varied as the numbers of yarns available. I have provided the Red Heart brand yarn colors I used for this particular sample but feel free to be creative and use different colors!
What I also love about this pattern is the use of the L hook. It is larger than suggested for the yarn weight, but it works quickly and adds softness to the finished product that otherwise is not found in such inexpensive yarns. It is also very good for people with eyesight issues or dexterity problems because the larger hook and stitches are easier.
