Lily Blossoms II Socks
About the Design
These socks were originally designed in a DK wt. Merino wool yarn.
I have reworked them in Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted, for a thicker sock and Brown Sheep Top of The Lamb Sport, for a thinner sock, in colors that really sing, against the white and black backgrounds.
Size: medium woman
Finished Measurements:
Foot Length: 9.5 (9.5)”
Length Floor to Cuff: 8.25 (8.5)”
Foot Circ.: 9 (9.33)”
Leg Circ.: 9 (9.75)”
(The heavy worsted version needs to be larger in circumference, due to the fabric thickness.)
Yarn – Sport Wt. Version:
Brown Sheep Top of The Lamb Sport, 154 yds/50 g pull skeins, 2 skeins #470 Blanche (MC), 1 skein each: #465 Future Purple (CC1), #462 Great Grape (CC2), #310 Peacock (CC3), and #331 Mallard (CC4).
Gauge: 7.75 sts and 9.5 rnds = 1″ (2.5 cm), over patt with US size 2 (2.75 mm) ndls or size to get gauge.
Yarn – Heavy Worsted Wt. Version:
Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted, 190 yds/4 oz pull skeins, 1 skein each: M-05 Onyx (MC), M-62 Amethyst, (CC1), M-65 Sapphire (CC2), M-75 Blue Heirloom (CC3), and M-47 Tahiti Teal (CC4).
Alternate MC is M-11 White Frost.
Gauge: 6 sts & 7.25 rnds = 1″ over patt with US size 3 (3.25 mm) ndls, and 5.75 sts & 7 rnds = 1″, over patt with US size 4 (3.5 mm) ndls or sizes to give gauges. To save time, take time to check gauges.
