The skirt of the dress features a stitch pattern which requires yarn overs worked between two knit stitches, between a knit and a purl, and between a purl and a knit. Once the skirt is complete, a ribbed band is worked and stitches are decreased for the bodice. The dress is designed with two inches of ease at the chest so that it can be worn as a jumper if desired.
