Original pattern uses 6 balls of multicolored yarn. From the designer’s website:

It is knitted in individual squares, stitches are being picked up >as each squares are being knitted, ends with a garter stitch >border. No sewing is needed.

A similar pattern, Lily Blanket, is written for two colorways of JoJoLand’s Rhythm yarn.
