Lily Valley Bag
This pattern uses approximately 800 grams of wool. Two colors adds to the charm.
I shared this project bag with a woman at a school site that I work with. She absolutely loved it and immediately requested the pattern. She said that it looked like a lily (my thoughts exactly!) and I used this and part of that school’s name to name the bag.
The outer body of this bag is worked in the round, then the inner layer is picked up and worked back and forth. The decrease patterning is the same on both sides. I had a touch of purple wool left over and thought it made for an excellent hidden accent. I’ve used these two patch pockets for my cell phone and spindle shaft. The pocket formed between the green and brown layers is excellent for keys, Chapstick, folded up pattern, or even the cell phone and spinning fiber! The strap is a set of three knit i-cords braided together for strength and some pizzaz!
This pattern has been more thoroughly edited and is not available for purchase through KnitPicks IDP. The less refined pattern will remain available at the prior blog location.
