Lily Valley Cardigan
Lily Valley Cardigan is a versatile v-neck cardigan in a detailed and feminine look. It is knit in a 15 st lace and cable pattern repeat which is quick and easy to learn. The yarn combination is 1 strand merino wool and 1 strand silk mohair held together on a 4mm needle.
The gauge of 22 st / 28 rows in pattern opens up for countless yarn combinations.
Gauge in stockinette is 20 st / 20 rows.
The cardigan is knit bottom up and worked flat. First you cast on the ribbed hemline, and knit upwards in pattern until the garment is separated into front and back pieces. Thereafter the front and back pieces are finished separately, while making reductions for v-neck in front. Sleeves stitches are picked up from the arm holes and knit top-down in the round. Explanations and videos for techniques used knitting this cardigan can be found on the last page in pattern description.
