It is constructed from the top down and it is worked flat and in the round in stockinette stitch and simple lace pattern that gives it a distinctive touch The Lace pattern is both charted and written. Along the neck and armhole stitches are picked up and knitted and a stockinette stitch edge is worked. As the top is knitted from the top down, it is possible (and advisable) to try it on while knitting so that the length can be individually adjusted.
