Limon
Knit from side to side this beret uses slipped stitches and short rows to full effect. The slipped stitch headband draws the fabric in tightly for a good fit and the short rows allow the crown of the beret to be shaped without any decreases.
Size
To Fit Head Circumference up to: 20 (22 1/4, 24 1/2)” (51 56.5, 62cm)
2” (5cm) negative ease recommended.
Finished Measurements
Hatband Circumference: 18 (20 1/4, 22 1/2)” (45.5 51.5, 57cm)
Size 20 1/4” (56cm) modeled with 2” (5cm) of negative ease.

1 US size 4 (3.5mm) circular needle, 16” (40cm) length
Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve gauge.
US size E (3.5mm), crochet hook, waste yarn, stitch markers, safety pins or waste yarn for Japanese short rows, tapestry needle.
Gauge
22 stitches and 36 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch blocked.
30 stitches and 50 rows = 4” (10cm) in Slip Stitch Pattern blocked.
