As usual I took my inspiration from the protected flora of Dordogne. This time I have chosen the Linaigrette (Eriophorum gracile Koch ex Rothiii), a plant whose the thin stem bears an inflorescence of fluffy flowers, looking like cotton.
The slenderness and fluffiness of the plant are illustrated in the lace collar and colour work of my little sweater.

This beauty is worked flat top-down, starting with a provisional cast on. Body and sleeves are separated at the underarm. Body is worked straight with an easy stranded pattern at the end, finished with a picot hem. Sleeves are worked in the round, top down. They are slightly shorter than usual and all stitches are gathered at the end. A little lace collar is joined at the neck. Finally stitches are picked up along the edge to work the buttons bands.
