Linden Blossom
This lace crescent shaped shawl is worked from the center back of the neck down to the border.
Level of Skills: from Intermediate to Advanced.
The pattern includes charts and all the necessary explanatory notes; row-by-row written instructions are not included.
Yarns: It is strongly recommended to use either natural fiber yarn (linen, cotton, wool, and silk) or yarn comprising a minimum synthetic content; approximately 500 to 800 m (547 to 875 yds) per 100 g.
MATERIALS USED:
§ Size 3.25 mm / US 3 circular needles;
§ Size 2.0 mm crochet hook;
§ Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn.
Yarn: The sample shown has been worked in lace weight yarn (72% kid mohair, 28% polyamide; 750 m / 820 yds per 100 g).
The sample required 863 m / 944 yds, or 115 g of yarn.
Finished Measurements: 197 cm / 77 ½″ wingspan and 75 cm / 29 ½″ deep, relaxed after blocking.
Gauge is not important for this project. Finished shawl size and the total yardage will depend on yarn choice, needle size and your individual manner of knitting.
Charts are read from bottom to top and from right to left. Only the right-side (RS) rows are shown; on the wrong-side (WS) rows all stitches are purled.
