Lindis
The Lindis Shawl is knitted top down. The body is knitted in stockinette stitch with a jagged line of eyelets. A small eyelet section separates the stockinette body from the garter border. This insert increases the stitchcount significantly, ensuring a large wingspan and good drape.
Due to the gauge it is a quick and easy knit that will not pose difficulties even for beginners. It is the ideal shawl to showcase a special yarn; it is worked best in a solid yarn (speckled or variagated yarns are not advised as this will obscure the eyelet line of the design).
Yarn: Harrisville Nightshades, 100 % wool; 228 m/250 yards per 100 g, shown in colour VCR (dark sample)
Bella Schafwolle, 100 % wool, 250 m/ 273 yards per 100 g, shown in colour 9023 (hellgrau)
Yardage for sample: approx. 400 m/438 yards of dk yarn
Please note that the Harrisville Nightshades is listed as a dk yarn, but is on the heavy side. You can also very well substitute with a worsted weight yarn.
You may substitute with any yarn that knits up to gauge. Please keep in mind that differences in gauge affect yardage; so make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project!
Needles: 4.0 mm/US 6, circular needle, cable 80 cm/32” or longer

Gauge: 13.5 stitches/25 rows per 10x10 cm / 4x4 inches in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking with relaxed fabric
Dimensions: (wingspan and depth)
195x50 cm/77x20.75 inches
A big Thank you to my testers, who have knitted such beautiful versions of this shawl!
