Lindola Shawl
This 2-skein shawl is designed to be mostly “mindless” so you can knit & chat with your friends, watch Netflix, or whatever! It’s simple enough for a beginner’s first shawl, and advanced knitters might be able to knit the whole thing without looking at your stitches. I love knitting with friends, and this shawl lets me knit away in happiness!
You’ll need 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn, contrasting colors, circular needles, a darning needle
Suggested yarn:
Main color: Gingersnap, Dust fingering, Roller Disco colorway, 1 skein 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon, 463 yds (423 m)/100g or any fingering weight yarn of your choice approx. 400 yds total (366 m)
Contrast color: Gingersnap, Bloom fingering singles, Enjoy colorway, 1 skein 56% extrafine merino wool, 44% superkid mohair, 394 yds (360 m)/100 g or any fingering weight yarn of your choice
approx. 300 yds total (274 m)
Needles: size 8 US circular long enough to hold sts, at least 24”
Gauge: 19 sts & 26 rows in 4” after blocking. Gauge is less important, as this is to be wrapped around the body, not fitted.
Shape: asymmetrical crescent with a large ruffle
Skills needed: garter, stockinette, yarn over, k2tog, kfb, slip
Finished size: 74” (188 cm) wide x 28” (71 cm deep)
