Line
Line - questions and discussions
“The line is a force whose activities are comparable to those of all the natural forces”. (Van de Velde belgian architect)
“Line” is inspired by the decorative style of Art Nouveau. The dominating characteristic is the use of lines, symbol of dynamic energy and adornment. Geometric or organic, the line continuously creates asymmetry which accentuates the fluidity and continuity of space and surface.
Line is a boxy sweater, designed in modules. It’s easily adapted to a personalized fit.
Worked with a mix of silk-cotton yarn. The weight of the yarn, along with the particularity of it’s design and the stitches used, give to “Line” a smooth softness. The vertical lines lengthen the silhouette, while the diagonal lines naturally shape the figure and waist.
