Linea Mitts
The Linea Mitts are an easy and enjoyable pattern to advance your knitting skills. Working in the round, adding a gusset for a comfortable fit and including a broken rib stitch that transitions seamlessly from gusset to hand for a satisfying all over textured stitch that also adds elasticity and stretch to the knitted fabric.
The Linea Mitts work up very quickly, with a small amount of yarn, so they make a wonderful last minute gift!
Skills used:
knit
purl
knitting and purling in the round
make 1 left & make 1 right increases
knit 2 together
The Linea Mitts are designed to fit an average womans hand size, with a hand circumference of 17cm, as measured around the palm above the thumb. However the knitted fabric is very stretchy and will comfortably accommodate a wide range of sizes. If you want to make larger mitts, perhaps for a man, the mitts work very well in worsted weight/10 ply yarn and 4mm/4.5mm needles to make larger mitts.
