Who doesn’t love a soft cozy slipper?
This pattern was born from my love of the Lizzie slipper by Lisa Gutierrez. I wanted a slipper that was cute like Lizzie, but warmer for my cold-natured feet. I started out by simply lining a pair of Lizzies, but then I decided that since they were lined I really didn’t need the flap on the toe. So I tweaked the pattern until I arrived at the current version.

Materials:
One skein of a soft fuzzy Worsted weight yarn for the lining slipper
One skein Wool Worsted weight yarn for the outer slipper.
These two skeins will make at least two (maybe three) pairs of slippers.

Gauge
For the lining slipper the gauge is 13sts & 8 rows = 4 inches size H hook.
OR
Rows 1-10 of the liner measure almost 5.5 inches.
For the Outer slipper gauge is 12sts & 7.5 rows = 4 inches size I hook
If your gauge is slightly off, it’s not a big issue. The slippers will stretch to fit different size feet; and, of course, you can always add more rows to make them longer if necessary.

Abbreviations
ch- chain
dc- double crochet
dc2tog- double crochet 2 together
slst- slip stitch
sm cl- small cluster- this stitch is worked just like a dc2tog, but across only one stitch instead of two. To make it, you yarn over, insert hook in the next stitch, pull through a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. (This leaves you with 2 loops on your hook.) Yarn over, insert hook in the stitch you just worked in, yarn over and pull loop through, yarn over and pull through 2 loops, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops. NOTE: For this pattern the turning chains at the beginning of each row do NOT count as stitches, you will NOT work into them. Their presence, combined with the sm cl’s give the slippers a smooth, straight edge.
