Natural and classy

Looking for something cool for the summer, but classy looking? How about knitting in a natural material and knitting a tight fit to show off your style?

This is a short sleeved, fitted sweater with a medium-depth round neckline. It is short - to the top of the hips.

(Your own) size

While this pattern in Ravelry comes in one size, you can create this pattern in your own body size at Knit Anything - I suggest that you make it for 3cm / 1” less than your bust, waist and hips.

With the pattern listed here, the model’s bust / waist / hips are 89cm / 76cm / 90cm (35” / 30” / 35.5”). The ‘cm’ pattern has a finished size of 86cm / 79cm / 90 cm. The ‘inches’ pattern has a finished size of 33.75 / 31” / 35.5”.

Finished length of the patterns are 56cm and 22”. The model is 162cm / 64” tall.

Two separate patterns are listed - one in cm and the other in inches.

Gauge

Using 4mm (US 6) needles, and working in Stocking (Stockinette) stitch, 20 stitches and 26 rows knits a 10cm square.

Material needed

While any aran weight can be used, this one was knitted using Lincot, by Apple Oak Fibre Works (appleoakibreworks.com). This is a blend of linen and cotton and was hand dyed in Ireland using natural dyes.

Skiens required

It used 4 skiens - it used 690 meters (750 yards) and I have nearly a full ball left over! There are 220m per skein.
