The top is worked in moss stitch that lends into a slimming ribbed diamond design at the waist. Because the ribbing naturally adjusts to the size of the wearer, there’s no need to drape with increases or decreases.

Technical expert Charlotte Morris set out to make the most of the amazing drape of a linen/rayon yarn in this shell/vest.
Finished Size: 34 (38, 41½, 45½, 49½)“ (86.5 (96.5, 105.5, 115.5, 125.5) cm) bust/chest circumference. Sweater shown measures 38” (96.5 cm).
Yarn: Rowan Linen Drape (55% linen, 45% viscose/rayon; 109 yd [100 m]/50 g): #846 cornflower: 7 (8, 10, 11, 12) balls.
Yarn weight: #2 - Fine
Gauge: 25½ sts and 34 rows = 4” (10 cm) in moss st on larger needles.
Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm) and size 5 (3.75 mm). Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; markers (m); stitch holder.
