Linen Stitch Hot Pad
This double layer hot pad consists of two separate layers, each in a different crochet stitch pattern. The top layer is worked in a Linen Stitch pattern and the bottom layer is made in a Single Crochet pattern. The hot pad is made by initially working with two strands of yarn held together to construct the ring and the top layer. An additional single strand of yarn is then attached to the ring to make the bottom layer. Photos of the technique used for this join are provided. The two layers are then sewed together. A heavier worsted weight 100% cotton yarn such as Bernat Handicrafter or Lily Sugar ‘n Cream is recommended.
