Lines of Comfort
This hat is knit from the bottom up. Using the basic long-tail cast on method and then working rounds of simple knit, purl and slipped stitches.
The vertical lines and 3 stitch pattern give this beanie a symmetrical look. The slipped stitches bring emphasis to the lines that go from the band to crown. This adds enough interest to keep the beanie from being boring.
The decrease rounds utilize the slipped stitches from the previous rounds and knitting through the back loop to give a raised knitted decrease.
