Lines Socks (Children)
Fancy a bundle discount? Use code LINES_BUNDLE to save 20% when purchasing at least two Lines patterns! This can also be applied if you’ve already purchased one of the patterns.
The Lines Socks are cuff-down socks with a short row heel. The toes are worked with decreases and the tip of the toe is grafted with the Kitchener Stitch. Cables are used to create smooth diagonal lines. The lines are continued until they meet in the middle of the instep.
Sizes:
A (B) C (D) E (F)
Finished sock circumference:
7 (10) 12 (14.5) 16 (16.5) cm / 2.75 (4) 4.75 (5.75) 6.25 (6.5)”
Measure around the ball of your foot. Select a size that will give you approximately 10% or 2.5 cm / 1” negative ease in your foot circumference, meaning the sock circumference is smaller than the circumference of your foot.
Suggested Length of the leg incl. ribbing (adjustable):
5 (5) 7 (10) 12 (16) cm / 2 (2) 2.75 (4) 4.75 (6.25)”
Suggested Length of the foot incl. heel and toes (adjustable):
8.5 (10) 14 (17) 19.5 (20.5) cm / 3.25 (4) 5.5 (6.75) 7.75 (8)”
The pattern also includes instructions on how to customize the sock to your measurements, if your measurements fall out of standard sizing.
Recommended yarn:
Filcolana Arwetta Classic (210m/50g or 230yds/1.76oz, light fingering weight)
(80% Merino, 20% Nylon)
Lang Yarns Alpaca Soxx 4ply (390m/100g or 427yds/3.53oz, fingering weight)
(70% Alpaca, 30% Nylon)
or any fingering weight sock yarn
Yardage:
38 (64) 104 (157) 193 (217) m / 42 (70) 114 (172) 211 (237) yds
