You must be able to knit garter stitches, You must be able to lift stitches with the yarn in front and you must be able to increase and decrease sts. Then this is the scarf for you

The pattern has a gauge. But if your gauge goes slightly to the small or large side, it won’t have quite the effect. If the deviation is very large, then you have to play with the increase and decrease ratio.
