This pattern is my own design for a simple, top-down hat using the linked double crochet stitch. I love linked double crochet because it ties together the stitches so there’s not a noticeable space between individual double crochet stitches. This original version is intended to fit a normal adult head. It’s more of a recipe than a pattern, so with some experimentation you should be able to make a hat that suits your needs and preferences. This approach also allows you to use it for different weights of yarn with some practice.
