I designed these socks for my sister. She likes to play video games and I got inspiration for these socks from the Legend of Zelda game and the Triforce symbol. Link’s socks are worked top down, starting at the cuff with the contrast color, first with ribbing and then easy stranding. This is followed by the change to the main color. More stranded knitting is worked just before the toe where the color changes again to the contrast color.

Sizes: S(M)L.
Circumference of the sock is 6.75(7.5)8’’/17(19)21 cm. Sizes effect only the width of the sock. It is easy to change the length of the socks.
Gauge: 35 sts x 40 rounds stockinette stitch = 10x10 cm/ 4x4’’
Yarn: Fingering weight sock yarn (75 \% wool, 25 \% nylon; 100 g/ 400-420 m). I used Hjertegarn Sock 4
Main color, (black in my socks) 50(55)65 g
Contrast color, (yellow in my socks) 30(35)35 g
Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1.5) at least 80 cm/32’’ long circular needles or DPNs. For color-work sections you can take 3 mm (US 2.5) needles (or as needed to meet gauge).
Other: 3 stitch markers

Suunnittelin nämä sukat joululahjaksi siskolleni. Siskoni pitää pelaamisesta ja inspiraationsa näihin sukkiin sain The Legend of Zelda -pelisarjan Triforce-kuviosta. Link’s Socks ovat varresta aloitetut sukat, joissa ensin tehdään varren resori kontrastivärillä. Kirjoneuleen kautta kontrastiväri muuttuu pääväriksi. Ennen varpaita pääväri muuttuu taas kirjoneuleen kautta kontrastiväriksi.

Sukan ympärys on 17(19)21 cm. Koot vaikuttavat vain sukan leveyteen. Sukan pituutta on helppo muuttaa sopivaksi.
