Airy and light Linum is a modern triangle shawl that begins from the bottom tip. You knit your way up, alternating garter stitch stripes with mesh lace blocks that change direction.
Linum is a beautiful one skein wonder that’s written for fingering weight yarn. But it’s also easy to modify to fit your needs. You can use lighter or heavier yarns. Or make yours larger, if you have more yarn. Simply pick your favourite yarn and cast on!
YARN
One skein of WalkCollection Linea (50% alpaca, 25% silk, 25% linen; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g). Shown in colour Jade.
Or approximately 344 m / 376 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
You can knit this shawl in any yarn weight and yarn amount. Simply work the pattern repeat until you reach your desired size.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size that gives you pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
