made using Aran weight yarn and a 2.5mm crochet hook your finished lion should measure approximately 26cm in height.

I have used the loop stitch to create the mane, and so knowledge of the loop stitch would be an advantage (tutorial not provided in this pattern but I have included the name of my preferred you tube tutorial) alternatively you can weave strands into the head area to create the mane.
