Materials and tools:

To crochet a lion, you will need basic yarn of the following colors:

• yellow – for the body – Alize COTTON GOLD №216 (100g/330m) – consumption approximately 75g;
• caramel - for the mane - Alize COTTON GOLD №499 - consumption of approximately 100g;
• milk - for the face and paws - Alize COTTON GOLD №01 - not enough, maybe 5g;
• white - only for eyes - Alize COTTON GOLD №55;
• brown - (the thread is divided in half) for the nose and embroidery of claws and eyebrows - Alize COTTON GOLD №26

You will also need additional YarnArt “Iris” (20g/138m) yarn to design the eyes

• black – for pupils, whiskers and eyelashes
• blue - for the iris of the eye You can also replace the thread with the corresponding colors of the main yarn, but divide the thread in half.

Hooks for crocheting from the main yarn - 1.5mm;
and 1.0mm from additional yarn.

The choice of yarn and colors is only recommended, you can use any other composition and texture.

To attach the limbs and head, plastic joints for toys of the following sizes were used (can be replaced with pins and discs of the appropriate diameter):

• 40 mm (2 pieces) - for attaching the head to the neck and the neck to the body;
• 45 mm (2 pieces) – for fastening the hind legs;
• 25mm (2 pieces) – for fastening the front paws.

To maintain the shape of the tail, you will need 20 cm of wire, up to 1 mm thick.
Acrylic varnish for textiles or glue – to strengthen the mustache and eyelashes.
And as always: filler, scissors, sewing needle and other tools that are convenient for you at work.
The size of the lion in a standing position is about 30 cm.
