Something about the cable panel on the back of these mittens seemed medieval, gallant and knightly. The cables follow a very simple 8 row repeat and the thumb gusset increases harmonize with the rhythm. The top shaping is a bit different. The side stitches are taken from the decrease border, then worked separately, they eat up the stitches of the cable panel and the palm, meeting in the middle. Have fun with it!
