Lion’s Paw Möbius Cowl
The lion’s paw design comes from North African carpet designs and the Möbius is a mathematical figure.
Consider this more of a recipe than a pattern. Included are two Fair Isle-type charts, two double-knit charts, and written directions for the two double-knit patterns.
My advice, feel free to ignore it, is to work one repeat of the pattern in your desired yarn to see how big it is. Your gauge may be quite different in double-knit than in stockinette so if you want to do the cowl in double-knit, swatch in double-knit. From there you can determine how many repeats you need to get your desired length and how many balls of yarn you need.
Yarn, needle, and gauge given are for the sample. I did 14 repeats (924 sts) and used a total of 56 stitch markers: one to mark the end-of-row, 13 to mark pattern repeats, and 42 to divide the patterns into 20 stitch sets.
