This pattern is a very beginner friendly pattern. You only need to know how to chain, single crochet and decrease. There is a video tutorial on my youtube channel, Pont Neuf Studio, demonstrating all of these.
It is made to for a standard size lip balm.
Any worsted weight, cotton yarn can be used, just be sure to check your gauge. A good substitute is lily sugar ‘n cream worsted weight yarn.
