Hook yourself a pile of colourful retro treats with these delicious crocheted Liquorice All Sorts – they’re sweet and stash-busting!
There’s no better guilt-free pleasure than making yarny sweets and Liquorice All Sorts are a year-round favourite. They’ll make a great gift for the host at any event – along with a bag of the real thing, of course. Each sweet uses less than 5g of yarn each so they’re a great stash-buster, while also looking good enough to eat.
Patterns for the different shapes are given in UK crochet terms first and then US crochet terms. The instructions for constructing each sweet are the same.
Yarn requirements: small quantities (approx 5g per sweet) of any DK yarn in the following colours: black, white, blue, pink, yellow, orange and brown.
You will also need: A 3.5mm (UK 9, US E/4) hook and tapestry needle.
Optional extra materials: Seed beads in blue and pink and matching cotton thread.
Tension is not vital for this project, but it is important that stitches are dense.
Finished measurements: each finished sweet is slightly larger than life size, approx 1-2.5cm (½-1in).
Pattern is divided into instructions for crocheting the different shapes, and then instructions on how to make each sweet.
