This Lira Hat features intricate, modern cables and twisted ribbed brim. Some of brim stitches are continued and braided beautifully into the hat’s body. The hat is seamless and worked in the round from the bottom up. It comes in one size. One can wear it as a slouch or as a beanie with a folded brim.

Size:
One size to fit 54- 58cm/ 21.2- 22.8” HC
Approx. hat length 27 cm/ 10.5 “

Materials:
1 skein of Leizu Worsted by Julie Asselin (200 yards/183 meters, 115 grams/4.06 ounces ) or approx. 170 m; 185 yds of worsted weight yarn that knits up to gauge.

Needles and other notions:
3mm/US 5, 4 mm/ US 6 and 4,5 mm/US 7 circular or DPN needles
4 stitch markers (one particular for BOR), cable needle, tapestry needle

Gauge:
18 Stitches and 24 rounds per 10 cm/ 4 inches after blocking with 4,5 mm/US 7 needles. Adjust needle size as necessary.

Skills required: 
Knit and purl sts, knit through back loop, increases and decreases, cables, tubular cast on.
